Great Savings With Coupons
I can’t believe the widespread use of online coupons and their popularity. When I began couponing, it was essentially picking up the Sunday paper and cutting out coupons that would save me money on goods that I sometimes did not actually want. But with the move towards social networking, coupons have also evolved and now coupons can be accessed for free with significant savings from the comfort and security of your home using the Internet. Free online coupons may not only be redeemable in online stores but also in store as well. This is now that much more important as we try to trade our way out of this tough financial downturn. There is absolute value with online coupons and the best thing is that it is for everyone to share. For those of you who love to shop, you could actually save hundreds of dollars with valuable coupons when buying online or offline if you know where to look.
I advocate couponing so much that I now carry an extra pouch full of coupons separate to my purse. They themselves are categorized so I can quickly search for what I need and save on time and money.
Online coupons are basically an advertisement and marketing gimmick that is used by companies and manufacturers to attract new or service existing customers to establish and maintain them into loyal shoppers who will come back to purchase regularly. You can purchase a wide variety of products and services by using these usually overlooked coupons that most people take for granted. Many people don’t realize coupons are a priceless resource and don’t bother using them because they think that saving pennies is not worth the time or effort. In reality, there are coupons out there that can save you significant dollars. For example, combining multiple coupons with in-store promotions can often nab you products as freebies and not a cent to pay!
If you don’t know how to go about this, just do a search for coupons on the Internet you will inevitably come across 3 different categories of couponing sites.
1 – You will find coupons that are directly of the manufacturer or company’s website.
2 – You will find sites that specialize in coupons and are basically affiliates or the one stop shop for all your coupons. Sites such as Coupons.com, couponmom.com, redplum.com and coolsavings.com are just examples.
3 – You will find adhoc coupons from sites like FreeStuff4Free.com which are useful but are there to compliment their free stuff site.
Not only are coupons just to give discounts, often coupons will give you free samples. Whilst it may look silly and costly for companies to engage with this, by making you print out the coupon, they have succeeded in brand promotion. To receive your free sample, they will require you to go in store and generally when you are there you are likely to purchase other products, therefore the company offsets the cost of the free sample with the profits from the sale of other products.
Exploring different ways of saving money and combining them with already existing methods will increase your savings significantly.
