If You Decide To Hire A Good Moving Company

March 11th, 2010 Blog Writer No comments

It is exciting and fun to relocate to a new place, but the process of relocation might not be the best highlight event of your day. In addition, the hiring somebody in order to pack, load, move and unpack your household belongings or doing it yourself, the expenses of hiring a good moving company and also the moving equipment do not cost so cheap. When you are moving far away, then you need much more help than to have a good neighbor with his truck.

If you want to have the best guarantees that entire your possessions will arrive safely to your new home, then you must do it yourself. Therefore, you may carefully pack and unpack your household stuff. Well, usually, it is a lot of time consuming for you! You can find a reliable professional moving company and sign a contract with these movers where must be expressly indicated that your stuff are guaranteed to relocate safely or its will be replaced by this moving company.

Even if you pack your things, you will find that it is impossible to relocate alone, because it is hard, especially if you are moving across the country or the state. Also even if you do a garage sale in order to get rid of some goods, you will find that it is cheaper to move your entire belongings to your new location than to sale it away.

If you get moving quotes, you will find out that the boxes, packing materials and tapes are included in the price of your relocation or if you must charge some extra costs. So, find out if you should rent some moving equipment, or if it is included in the price too.

When you have narrowed your selection of best moving companies down, and then ask for some contact information for their two or three recent clients in order to call them and find out about their experience with this moving company. Make a written inventory of all your things prior to relocation. Thus, when you have moved, check everything in your list in order to see if it all is safely and without any damage. If something is damaged or broken, know that the sooner you give a complaint on these movers the more probability that you will get indemnifications for it.

The movers can’t be very qualified or have experience to take apart and collect together difficult electronic equipment and devices, so, you must do it yourself or hire other good professionals to do this job.

Finally, if you decide to hire a reputable moving company in order to pack and move your belongings, and then make sure that you pay by the weight of your things instead of by a volume. If they take money just by volume, you can open the door them to charge you more.

Those who need details about keyword1, please go to this site. Lots of info about moving service and how to look for the best one.

Importance Real Estate

February 13th, 2010 Blog Writer No comments

Relocating from one place to another can be a very stressful event, but there are some ways to decrease stress and make sure that all things and possessions can be moved safely. If you want that your moving is less stressful, you should plan all the things in advance. A little planning and scheduling will make the moving process less stressful. It is suggested to hire a reliable moving company so that all your possessions and household items will be packed and moved to the new place safely, because only professionals can organize everything in a perfect way. Of course, you can ask the members of your family or friends to help you, but it will bring you just more problems and headache.

Very often friends tell that they are ready to help you on moving day, but when the moving day comes, you can not find them. You can avoid all that stress if you employ a professional moving and storage company and the movers will come just when you need them. A professional moving company can pack all your things so that everything will be safe and protected, for instance you chine will not break. The company is responsible for getting all your household things safely.

Professional workers of a moving company are trained to manage all kinds of appliances and antique, china cabinets and huge entertainment centers. Even if your friend have a truck and offers your help, he may not have all the necessary equipment and manpower to pack and relocate household things. It is recommended to meet with a moving company so that it can assess your needs. They have a team of professional movers and equipment available to relocate your entire household in a fast and effective manner.

There are of course some simple things that you can make in advance before the day of your move. A garage sale should be provided to get rid of unnecessary items. If you do not need some things anymore, it is not reasonable to move them to the new place. Arranging your new relocation can be easier, if you throw away unnecessary things before the day of relocation.

You should pack the boxes in order the contents do not move around. Make sure that the space between the box and packed possessions is filled with special material so that items can not be broken. Make sure that you have labelled all the boxes in an appropriate way with a short outline of contents and the room where they should be put and unpacked. When boxes are marked and labelled, it is easier to unpack the rooms.

Before relocating you should make certain that all the appliances are cleaned. Also empty and clean the fridge and freezer. Before the movers arrive the fridge should be moisture free and unplugged.

It would be better if you can take all the important documents and valuable jewellery with you personally on moving day instead packing in the moving truck. If you have pets, they also need special treatment. Provide cages for them so that they can not escape during the moving process.

A professional moving company will offer you an inventory list in order you should record each packing box and each large item. So, make the moving process simpler by hiring a professional moving company.

So, You Want To Be A Work From Home Mom?

October 4th, 2009 Blog Writer No comments

What exactly are the options for a mom to make money at home?

Unfortunately, there are scams everywhere – some you may have heard of sound too good to be true – and they usually are. Oftentimes, women lose a lot of money before they even find a legitimate opportunity, let alone one that they love.

Below, you’ll find a list of popular work from home options. They all have benefits and drawbacks. What may be great for one woman may not even be of interest to another woman.

And, of course, research thoroughly before signing any contract. Yes, there are bunches of great, legitimate possibilities out there waiting for you, but you might have to say ‘no’ to a few first before you find the perfect home business for you.

Direct Sales (MLM)
Why we love it: Where else can you get a business in a box? Seriously, the products have already been made and tested, all the marketing has been created for you, and you are set up on the road to management if you wish. You can see why Direct Sales can be a great way to make money, especially if you find a product, sponsor and company that you love!

Why it might not be for you: If the thought of sales makes you turn green from nausea, you might want to consider other options.

Internet Auctions
Why we love it: It doesn’t get much simpler than online auctions. Sell your worn clothing or used toys. Or, if you’ve got a knack for pricing, you might find some great items at a garage sale that you can turn over for a profit on online auctions.

Why it might not be for you: Is your house already too small for you and your family? If you don’t have room to store inventory, then online auctions might not be the business for you.

Start a Home Business
Why we love it: No matter what your interest is, you can start a business. Sell products or promote a service that makes life easier for other people. Whether you’re considering making crafts or becoming a massage therapist, if you’ve got the entrepreneurial spirit, then go for it!

Why it might not be for you: Starting from scratch can be a lot of work with little pay in the beginning. So, really invest a lot of time and energy into research, if you are considering this option.

Internet Marketing:
Why we love it: Low start up cost and a lot of flexibility. Internet marketing (selling products online, promoting other people’s products, or providing an online service) really is a great option for a lot of moms.

Why it might not be for you: Internet marketing has a learning curve, just like any other type of business. Anyone who’s ever had a website knows that “if you build it they will come” is not necessarily true. You have to promote, tweak, test, and learn constantly if you want to become a success in Internet Marketing. It is definitely possible and it is a great option, but don’t go into it thinking you don’t need to invest time and money in yourself and in your business. You do.

Surveys for Cash
Why we love it: Yes, there really are companies that will pay you to take surveys. In all honesty, you aren’t going to get rich taking surveys, and you’ll spend a lot of time for little money in most cases. But, if you enjoy hanging out on the computer and think it would be fun to do some surveys while you’re chatting with your friends on IM, then it isn’t a bad way to make a few extra dollars here and there. Just be sure to sign up with a free email account (like hotmail or yahoo) so you don’t get flooded with SPAM!

Why it might not be for you: If time is short or you need to make a lot of money for your family, then spend your time on something else. Surveys aren’t going to pay your bills. Also, there are some scams that charge you for a list of surveys. Be careful.

These are just a few of the many options to make money from home. Follow your heart. Start on the path today to make your dreams come true.

Starting Your Own Cubic Zirconia Jewelry Business

October 4th, 2009 Blog Writer No comments

Starting your own business is a dream a lot of people have regarding their futures. When you really get right down to it, starting your own business is scary at best. You are taking a vast leap in to the virtual unknown and leaving the comfort and safety of your 9 to 5 job. It’s not great, but the bills get paid, right? Many people dream of becoming their own boss, but not many actually do it. You can be one of the few who do. If you love fashion enough to live it and breath it everyday, and you are out going, never meet a stranger type of person, you will definitely want to give this idea some serious thought. Start your own cubic zirconia jewelry business.

The first thing you will need to do is set realistic goals and target, and to make a business plan. Having a business plan is very important. If you intend to get a loan or an investor for the backing, you will need a formal business plan. Your plan will need to be exact especially when it comes to the financial portion of your plan.

Ensure the type of jewelry (cubic zirconia) you are planning to sell is the right type of jewelry for your target market. If you are selling in a flea market venue, don’t go for the high-end jewelry such as diamonds.

Host a cubic zirconia jewelry party or have one of your friends host a cubic zirconia jewelry party. You will get her to invite her friends and relatives and have the party at her home. As compensation give her some free cubic zirconia jewelry, it makes for a great incentive for others to host parties in their home. You will sell your cubic zirconia jewelry without worrying about competition. At that moment you have no competition.

When you are looking for merchandise to sell, check and buy from E-Bay. Many people get great deals on items and then re-sell them.

Check on the web to find cubic zirconia wholesale dealers.

You can put your cubic zirconia jewelry in your own garage sale or if you have a friend having a garage sale, ask her if you can put them out at her garage sale.

You will want to check into a merchant account at various places such as Paypal. Paypal will let you make payments to companies through them and they will take payments for you to be placed into your account. Check online for companies selling low-cost jewelry packaging supplies such as the ring boxes, etc. You will also want to find low cost shipping supplies and jewelry supplies and displays. Check into a domain registration and innovative hosting solutions. This will help you host your own web site to give your customers more access to you and your merchandise.

These tips will help you get a good start on your own cubic zirconia jewelry business. Since cubic zirconia is a beautiful stone, and is becoming very popular because of the availability and the price. Selling them will not be hard once you have found the right venue and target market. You will be successful in no time.

Thrift Stores – The EBay Sellers’ Supermarket

October 3rd, 2009 Blog Writer No comments

Walk through any thrift store and you’re bound to bump into an eBay Powerseller or two replenishing their eBay inventory. The truth is there are still good bargains available at thrift stores for resale on eBay if you’re astute enough to spot them.

While it’s true you’ll probably pay more at a thrift store than you would at a garage sale, the prices for some items are still low enough for you to make a decent profit. The key, of course, is to do enough research on eBay to know what types of used items are hot sellers. And, I don’t mean a quick little glance. I mean really do your homework.

For example, if you’re interested in buying and selling used men’s shirts, go to eBay and perform searches for “used men’s shirt,” “nearly new shirt,” “gently worn” and all the other synonyms you can find for “used.” Go through the “vintage” category and the “collectibles – cultures, ethnicities” for Hawaiian shirts. Research the labels. Note any patterns and colors. Do some sizes sell better than others? (I always found I had a harder time selling men’s shirts in size small).

Do the same type of research with all the used items you may find at a thrift store: clothing, shoes, boots (especially used cowboy boots), purses, books (don’t ignore cookbooks – they can sometimes sell very well, especially the Betty Crocker Pie Cover cookbook).

When you find a thrift store or two (or, hopefully, more) that offers good quality used products go back often as new items are added every day.

With used clothing it’s very important to thoroughly check for any tears or stains, because once you buy it, it’s yours, you can’t take it back. I once bought several collectible Hawaiian shirts I had checked for tears and stains, but failed to check the collars. When I got them home I found they all had a bad case of “ring around the collar” which didn’t come out in the wash. Of course, I had to disclose that in my descriptions on eBay. The shirts sold, but for less than what they could have sold for in better condition. Also, check for any odors that may be tough to get out with washing or dry cleaning. (Do make sure you wash or dry clean all used clothing you list on eBay.)

While it’s true that used clothing and other items do sell well on eBay, your research will help you spot items with which you’ll actually make a profit. There’s a thought out there among some that you can slap anything on eBay and make money. Not true. If you don’t do your research you may find yourself losing money. Don’t just assume there’s a sucker born every minute and that anything will sell on eBay. Without proper research you might end up finding out the sucker is you.

How To Hold A Moving Sale

September 25th, 2009 Blog Writer No comments

Do you have a move or relocation coming up? If you’re like most of us, this is an frantic period. There are friends and family to notify, utilities to transfer, and plenty of boxes to get packed. This all adds up to a huge potential for stress.

Oddly, actually adding something to your moving checklist may make things easier in the short and long term- and by that I mean hosting a moving sale (a.k.a garage sale, yard sale, white elephant sale, flea market, etc.)

Now I understand that this seems ridiculous when you first hear it. After all, you’re frantically busy with moving, so how on earth will you have time for a garage sale?

The answer is actually pretty simple. The time required to move is directly related to how much stuff needs to be moved. The more things you have to move, the more time it will take. So when you’re looking around at what needs to be moved, think about this: If you choose not to sell excess items, when will you have time to:

• get the items organized
• prepare, wrap and pack them
• write down the items in your moving inventory
• make sure the items are properly covered with moving insurance
• label the boxes the items will go in
• physically move the items
• load the items into the truck
• unload the items from the truck
• unpack the items at your new destination
• break down the boxes the items arrived in
• find space for the items in your new place
• and set them up?

Also, you might think of it another way. If you imagine that you are simply packing unused items to be delivered at your moving sale

And on the positive side, you might earn between $200 – $1000 on a well-planned, well-executed garage sale, which works out to a pretty decent wage per hour.

Here are a few basic tips:

1. Pack separate boxes in each room for your “moving sale” items as you pack up everything else. Store “sellable” items in these boxes, and then simply put them out on the actual moving sale day.

2. Stuck on how to price things? Start by dividing the original price by 5 and then discounting for any damage. This helps insure that most items will be sold out by the time the sale is completed.

3. It’s easier to make categories of items all the same price, such as “all clothing $4 each.” It also saves hours of time creating tiny price tags! You can also price items by table, meaning everything on a certain table is priced at one fixed price. However, if you follow this route, it can be difficult to remember where each item came from.

4. Make arrangements in advance to have a charity donation truck arrive at the closing time of your moving sale to take away anything that wasn’t sold. The charity gets donations, and you clear out of any items that didn’t sell by the end.

5. Price everything to be easily divisible by 2. This allows you to hold a “1/2 price clearance” during the last hour of the sale, and clear out lots of remaining items and pocket cash you might have missed otherwise- you would be amazed how many times I have seen this work successfully.

6. Have lots of spare change (bills and coins) on hand on your person (not in a box that can be stolen at the sale). Lack of having correct change is a frustrating reason to lose a sale.

7. Start advertising at least 2 weeks prior to the sale. Use clear street signs in very large letters, ads in local papers, and flyers on cars in a 5-block radius from your place.

8. Recruit as much help as you can stand for the big day. You can use assistance for watching tables, helping customers move items and answering question.

Following this steps should ensure a successful move and the chance to put some well-earned dollars in your pocket.

Finally, there are several great, FREE resources online for you to use for your move. Here are two from the author’s website, Movers-Edge.com:

Good luck with your move!

How To Obtain Every Dollar You Deserve… By Getting The Full Worth Of Your Home!

September 15th, 2009 Blog Writer No comments

Special Report From Jutta “Utah” Burden

The ability to bring in extra profits on the sale of your home can be accomplished easily enough, if you make the improvements. Various changes can give the prospective buyer with enhanced feelings about your home. Feelings of more space, more light, more rooms, more closet space, greater privacy, warmth and security. Basic, simple and low-cost improvements can give an improved emotional response in a potential buyer. How to Sell the Fastest!
An example could be something as small as a crack in the paint on a wall. By simply applying some plaster and touch-up paint, you eliminated what may be an assumed concern that your home was unsuccessfully maintained. Though the feeling may be unconscious, it’s just as critical that the potential buyer feel an overall sense of emotional aspiration for your home. If you are working with a small budget, these simple techniques will work absolute wonders.
1. The Magic of Mirrors!
Mirrors can provide a greater sense of space and elegance when correctly placed. Be careful not to overdo it, but when placed properly throughout your home, each area will seem bigger to the potential home buyer. Try looking in your attic or basement for any old mirrors, but be sure they have a nice frame or at least give the frame a new coat of paint. You may also want to go to a local flea market or garage sale – you can often find a magnificent deal on an old miror or two. Putting one- foot square mirrors on a closet door in the master bedroom is always an attractive touch. The Woodlands, Texas Real Estate
2. Adding Additional Closet Space
One of the largest complaints heard from potential buyers is that there just isn’t adequate closet space! Simply purchasing an inexpensive closet organizer and installing it in any or all of your closets can make all the difference. You can also try putting a rod across one corner of a bedroom, for hanging clothes, further out put another rod higher up. From this rod hang a clothes-hiding screen made from a variety of choices. The screen could be matching material of the bedspread, drapes etc.. The idea here is to be artistic so that the “fake closet” looks as though it was a part of the room
3. Make a Bare Wall Beautiful
Wallpaper is cheap, fast and simple to do! The right wallpaper can brighten the room or hallway and bring it back to life. Be careful to choose something with a neutral design or pattern. Remember, you’re trying to move out!
4. Bring Old Floors Back to Life!
Nothing turns off a potential buyer quicker than dull, dingy, disgusting-looking floors. Whether you have wax, wooden or tiled floors, do whatever you can to make them shine again! For wax floors, either rent a
floor machine and do it yourself, or hire a professional if it’s in your budget. Have a professional give you an estimate and explain exactly what they would do to bring your floors back to life. If you have them explain what they would do, it may be just as easy to do it yourself. If you have carpeted floors you should either have the carpet steam-cleaned or, if it’s in your budget, install new carpeting. This may sound costly, but new carpeting can add thousands of dollars to the value of your home.
5. Bring in Some Plants
Having plants in the house is not only healthy for you but you create a passionate feeling with them. Ficus trees have become very popular and they can be purchased cheaply. Good-looking pots such as ceramic, brass or even designer plastic will add a designer flair to your home. Hanging plants such as Boston ferns are inexpensive, easy to care for and would go great in your new home wherever you move.
6. Adding a Room Without Calling in the Contractor!
This simple but seldom-used technique can give a buyer the feeling there are more actual rooms in your house. Floor-to-ceiling room dividers are inexpensive and simple to install. When a buyer walks through your home, they will generally count the rooms in a subconscious manner. Each room will present an emotional response as they walk through your home. By dividing and designing each side of your room, you create a ’separate room” feeling in the potential buyer. It may sound eccentric, but it works.
7. Clean Up the Bathroom
We’ve probably all heard that phrase a hundred times growing up as children! Well guess some what? It’s still valid. Give your bathroom a face-lift if needed. Fresh paint, decorative moldings, tile grout, new designer faucets are attractive eye catchers.
8. What is That Smell?
People don’t like to admit it but, everyone’s home has a certain smell to it. We just never notice because we live with it day in, day out. Strategically placing fresh scent devices throughout the home will be satisfying to the nose of any potential buyer. As a matter of fact, an old Realtor® trick is to pop some cinnamon rolls in an oven 5 minutes before a showing. I bet you thought all Realtors just had a sweet tooth!

My hope with this report has been to help you make simple changes that can add thousands of dollars to the ultimate selling price of your home. I hope you found the ideas useful and if there is ever any way I can be of service to you or anyone you care about, please contact my office. Your initial consultation is always completely free of charge and you’re under no obligation of any kind. We’ll sit down for 15-20 minutes… no high pressure, just plain, honest talk about what it’s going to take to achieve your personal goals. Go ahead, pick up the phone and give me a call. I’d love to hear from you!

Garage Organization – My Minivan About Got Destroyed!

September 1st, 2009 Blog Writer No comments

Behind me were clouds of a large hailstorm breaching the outer edge of the town where we live. Reports of hail the size of tennis balls come into my cell phone from family living in close by towns that were hit by the storm. Winds were picking up and as I drove the new minivan up the driveway frantically pressing the button on garage door opener. As the door slowly raised to where I was able to start pulling in the van I realized something…

You see my wife and were horrible pack rats and were not too swell at organization either. Well, earlier that day I crammed just a few more boxes of stuff we “needed” to get rid of as well as a box or two of stuff we “may need” in the future. Yet we seem to always “need” to get rid of stuff but never do and never “needed to use” any of the stuff we “had” to save. As you can guess I realized there was a need for change. It was time to get that garage cleaned out since I couldn’t get the van all the way in! Especially at a time I desperately needed to. So I was about to learn a lesson at the price of a hail-damaged minivan.

After that dreadful experience my wife and I did get that garage cleaned out and organized, and we have kept it that way for years now. All it took were a few simple rules.

Rule 1: Anything we determine we don’t need will immediately be removed. A garage sale never happens at our house (we never “get to it”) so we needed to get rid of the stuff some other way. We decided that charities and the local goodwill stores would be our first stop before the dump. May as well let other’s who really need the stuff have the stuff.

Rule 2: Anything that we “unsure” about, don’t know where to put it, or don’t have room for will also be removed immediately. (See Rule 1)

Rule 3: Only things we determine we WILL ABSOLUTELY USE or MUST KEEPS will be packed and organized and taken to a designated area in the garage or attic. We made a list of certain types of items that tend to fall in this category: hand me down clothes for the kids, memory items, valuables, special tools, etc.

Armed with these rules our task was easy and clear. All of our decisions were made for us. All we had to do is get out there and do it. Let me tell you that it worked like a charm! Our garage was cleared out and organized in a day!

These rules are also applied to anything we want to “store” in the garage, attic, closet, etc. It is like a filter that keeps needless excess from building up in the house.

Hey, before I forget! The storm did hit our town. Golf ball to tennis ball sized hail. I did manage to get the bulk of the minivan in the garage to where a quarter of the van was sticking out. We got lucky. The hail came down at an angle to where the house protected the back end of the van. No hail damage to the vehicle. Sad news is that we had to have the siding, shingles, and a few windows replaced on the backside of the house! Oh well I guess.
