There are many dreams for stuff you can do with your family during the summer months, but you may fall short on nature activities in the winter because you are restricted by the climate and the warmth. The typical winter stuff to do comprise sledding, skiing, and building snow creations, but you do not have as much in the way of communication with your surroundings as you do in the summer. Feeding wild birds can be done in a few various ways. You can put up bird houses that dispense food or you can simply toss the provisions out on your yard. Make sure you throw it out after it is done snowing rather than in the middle of a storm or your feed food is going to be covered and will not do you much good. Once a good snow has fallen and the storm has passed, birds are searching for food and they will find it in your yard. Expect to see many neat birds in all several colors.
