Before I begin, let me note something of a disclaimer.  By putting the strategies I outline for you here to use in your World of Warcraft gameplay, you will easily make enough gold for the most basic needs for your character, such as enchants, repair and leveling your profession. You won’t make mountains of gold for them, however, so if you like to be tricked out with all the latest things or you don’t mind spending big inside the game, you’ll likely want to take a look at one of the gold making guides available online.

It’s also worth noting too, that even if you want a really grand epic flying mount, you don’t need to be buying gold from gold farmers. You can earn it all yourself without breaking any rules of the game.  Now let’s move on to the gold making tips.

The biggest money-making professions in World of Warcraft are the mining professions. Getting your mining up and selling the bars you make, will make you a lot of gold, especially in the lower levels. The trick is not to have a profession that will use up the ore,  so you don’t want to become a blacksmith. You want to have that ore available to sell to other players.

Another good profession to have is enchanting, so that you can disenchant any greens or blues that you find. That way you’ll get enchanting materials out of your useless soulbound rewards and all the useless crud you pick up in dungeons. The green shield you found in Blackfathom Depths won’t sell for anything, but the strange dust you disenchant from it will sell easily. The Auction House deposits on enchanting materials are practically nothing, so you can afford to keep putting it them up for auction over and over again. Once you know the prices of things, you can buy them cheap from others and sell them more expensively.

If you’re focused on leveling, the best advice you’ll have is this: don’t spend your money on low-level blues and purples. If you happen to pick one up, go ahead and equip it, or better yet, sell it off to some other sucker. Weekends are the best time to sell your low-level blues and purples, the PVP (player vs. player) twinks will snap them up in a heartbeat. In five more levels that purple staff you paid 800g for will be useless, and you’ll replace it with a green and be out a ton of gold. Don’t get stars in your eyes till 70. If you want nifty blues, run dungeons and get rewards from there. Then you’ll have the benefit of free blues, greens to disenchant, money from mobs, and learning to play your character.

Once you’ve reached 70, be sure to quest as frequently as possible – every quest you do will earn you much more gold than you‘ll get at prior levels. If you ever reach the mythical 5200 gold required for an epic bird, you can then do quests like the Netherwing reputation line, where you do daily quests, earn reputation, and get paid for it. You can make fistfuls of gold that way, it just takes some time to get there.

You should generally farm your own mats for any enchants you‘re looking to pick up, but remember, time is money. If you only have two hours a day to play, what’s your most financially viable strategy?  Should you make 200g from questing, or spend that two hours farming 20g worth of motes of fire? Better to have that extra 180g. Balance your time and money correctly and you should have enough for what you need. Using a guide cuts down on the learning curve so you can quickly fill your bags with a lot more loot and it will save you both time and money (both virtual and real) in the long run.

Perhaps the biggest problem with social groups is when they are limiting to people as they grow. Some see the issue of these groups as a world wide problem, with larger groups of people being the problem. That is very true, and many of the problems we face on a global level have everything to do with these groups. If you think of it in your own life though, the definition of these are a bit different, but they can have the same affect on your life if that is what you allow to happen.

The time when local social groups are going to mean the most is in high school. Teenagers are learning about who they are and where they fit it in within the world around them. This can lead to problems. Social groups within schools can be very exclusive and very rough. Image is everything at this age because teens don’t know enough about themselves to distinguish themselves in any other way. That doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with them, that is just how it is at that age. Some excel in these social climates and others have a horrible time.

The good news is that these social groups become less important as a child moves on to college. They know more about who they are, and with that, they grow to be more curious and tolerant of those that they would have never spoken to in high school. As college begins, some stick to old high school habits and ideas about social groups, but that does not usually stick for long. Soon, none of those things matter, and budding adults begin to choose friends because of compatibility and common interests rather than just looks or labels.

Though these social groups will play a role in any life from time to time, things get better as we age. Our groups take on whole new meanings, and we rarely have a hard time admitting someone into our circle of friends if they share our values and our interests. It doesn’t matter who they look like, where they came from, or if we would have liked them years before. Social groups are no long as exclusive, and more encompassing of who we really are as people and what we want out of life. A good life includes those that make us feel good, and those people can come from any where at any time.

Often, managers are so caught up in the bottom line, they fail to see the human costs of their decisions, a fact which is tragic for the victims of these decisions.

There is never a shortage of jobs for experts in workplace safety, whether inspecting meat fore the USDA, or manufacturing conditions for a private firm. Even today, after having been productively employed for most of my adult life, when I indicate my major in college as communications, I get raised eyebrows, peculiar looks and even plain and simple bewilderment. On such occasions, I feel the need to holler out that a communications major is not that rare a species. Scores of colleges and universities produce thousands of communications majors each year. And I happen to be one such animal.

But enough is enough and I have taken it upon myself to educate one and all about who a Communications major really is! So what does a Communications Major do anyways? Simply put, she/he communicates. And effectively at that! You might wonder what is so special about communicating, as it is something that all of us do in our everyday lives. But chatting with your friend over the telephone of discussing something in class is an altogether different matter than communicating to the shareholders of a company, writing informational articles for newspaper readers and disseminating policies made by organizations and governments.

Communications majors are professionals who have undergone a course of study that enables them to communicate across a wide range of situations. Your neighborhood newspaper reporter is most likely a communications major. As is the public relations manager of a large, multi-national corporate. Even that beatnik documentary film-maker you know is in all probability a communications major. Communications majors are gainfully employed in all major and minor organizations all over the world.

What does a communications major learn? Well, the answer depends on the course of study undertaken at college. Most communications majors study under what is commonly known as Mass Communications. Their job of such communications majors is to ensure that the systems and processes that facilitate communication between individuals, machines and computers are in place and are functioning effectively.

There have been many influential artistic movements over the years, Art Nouveau being one of the most popular with the general public. Artists, architects and designers all fell under its spell during the 1880s, producing highly stylized pieces of work. Examples of magnificent buildings in the style can be found all over Europe, particularly in Paris, Prague, Budapest, Barcelona and Berlin. Other locations, such as London, New York City and St.Petersburg also have landmarks in the style.

The movement was brought to a wider audience at the World’s Fair in Paris in 1900. Art Nouveau embraced the modern use of technology on materials such as stained glass and wrought iron, which were used extensively in sculpture and functional items. A classic tradition was observed too in the use of motifs from the natural world, such as flowers or insects. Furniture, jewelry, lighting, textiles and posters were all part of the style.

Antoni Gaudi is probably the most famous architect of the movement, still celebrated today for his eccentric buildings in Barcelona. He took the style to new heights, never making a straight line where a wavy one could do the job. His crowning glory was the city cathedral, left unfinished at the time of his death.

One of the leading exponents was Charles Rennie Mackintosh, a designer from Glasgow in Scotland. He brought his distinctive ideas to buildings, furniture and jewelry. Examples of his work are held in museums and his jewelry is constantly copied and sold. The French designer Rene Lalique was also a jewelry maker in the Art Noveau style and he also became famous for his work in glass making.

Many artists in the genre remain popular today and none more so than Gustav Klimt. The Austrian specialized in the female figure in paintings, drawings and murals. Some of his paintings have sold for extremely high prices and his work is mass produced in the form of prints, posters and furnishings. Aubrey Beardsley, an English artist and illustrator, is also still popular today. He is mostly known for his posters, drawn in ink and sometimes depicting controversial images.

The movement faded by the beginning of World War I. Times were hard and less expensive materials were favored. A more modernist and less fussy design style came into favor, culminating in the Art Deco movement that would dominate through the 1920s and 1930s. There does remain, however, a nostalgic affection for Art Nouveau and the many expressive people caught up in it.

People love to shop. Just take a look around. Has the population grown out of control, or is everyone at the mall? I am amazed when I pull into the mall parking lot on occasion, and there are infinite cars in search of a parking place. It’s almost overwhelming. Doesn’t anyone know that you can shop at home? Your computer is a gateway to the entire world. Any store you can fathom will be found online. By shopping from home you can rid yourself of the hectic atmosphere commonly found in malls.

A great benefit when you shop at home is the price. If you haven’t surfed through cyberspace, then you’re truly missing out. That bracelet you so eagerly desire is probably half the price online. That fishing rod you crave relentlessly is likely 40 percent off on the right website. When you shop at home, you save the dough. Why pay 100 bucks, when you can pay 60 for the same item? It doesn’t make sense. My wife claims that she has to see clothing and shoes in person in order to try them on before purchasing. This is all fine and good. Try things out in the store, then if you want them, come home and purchase them on the Internet. I have made this a ritual. I buy everything online, and enjoy being able to shop at home. Nothing beats the comfort of your own home. A perfect example is a gift that I recently acquired for my father’s birthday. I searched online, and ended up finding it for nearly 50 percent under the retail cost. That’s what you get at retail stores; the retail cost! Try shopping online and I guarantee you will save some bucks. With the high prices and crowds, it is simply ideal to shop at home these days.
